Both pair Pizza Maru’s specialty pizzas on signature green tea chlorella dough with Katsuya’s crispy Japanese fusion katsu, served for dine-in, takeout and online ordering.

Our story

From Royal Oak to West Springs, Calgary

Royal Oak: Calgary’s first Korean pizza specialty shop

Pizza Maru opened its first Calgary location in NW Royal Oak in December 2023, introducing the city to Korean-style pizza made on a green-hued crust enriched with green tea and chlorella. Today Pizza Maru & Katsuya - Royal Oak at 4 Royal Vista Way NW, in the Royal Vista shopping area near Royal Oak Centre, serves Korean-style pizzas such as Korean Bulgogi, Holy Honey Sweet Potato and Signature Shrimbul alongside Katsuya’s freshly made katsu, Korean fried chicken, topokki, spaghetti and sides. West Springs: Pizza Maru meets Katsuya in southwest Calgary

The success of the Royal Oak store led the same locally operated team to open Pizza Maru & Katsuya West at #345, 922 85 St SW in West Springs, with a grand opening on September 5, 2026. It is the brand’s second Calgary location and a true dual-concept spot: Pizza Maru, the international Korean pizza brand, and Katsuya, a Japanese fusion concept known for Brick Cheese Katsu, Carbonara Katsu and Sweet Chili Katsu. Serving northwest and southwest Calgary

From Royal Oak we welcome guests from Royal Vista, Royal Elm, Rocky Ridge, Tuscany, Citadel, Arbour Lake, Sage Hill and Nolan Hill; from West Springs, neighbours from Cougar Ridge, Aspen Woods, Coach Hill, Strathcona Park, Signal Hill and Springbank Hill. Join us for a casual family dinner or date night, pick up takeout on the way home, or order online for pickup and delivery where available. Planning a birthday, office lunch or team event? Both restaurants open daily at 11 AM: Royal Oak until 10:45 PM Sunday to Thursday and 11:45 PM Friday and Saturday; West Springs until 11 PM Sunday to Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
